Violence and the Value of Life in America
Sunday Aug 30, 2020
Sunday Aug 30, 2020
Hello, and thank you for joining us for a new episode of Inspiration With C. Melita Webb. Today we ask,” what is the value of human life? Where are the criminals coming from? And how can they harm so freely?
Are these the children previously effected by lead in paint or water? Are these the children who's parents were on prescription drugs or malnourished? How did we create so many people without life-lines and a conscious?
The need for accurate, factual information needs to be the norm as we look for ways to rebuild humanity, gather news sources, and make better choices for our communities.
We discuss the actions some are driven to feed themselves and their family—the over-incarceration of non-violent offenders. We ask hard questions to try to get to an understanding that all life matters. Young, old, wealthy, poor, Native Americans, immigrants, African Americans, Europeans, doctors, lawyers, police, homeless, impaired, or disabled, you matter.

Chronic Pain's Devastating Reach
Thursday Aug 27, 2020
Thursday Aug 27, 2020
Hello, and thank you for joining us for another enlightening conversation with C Melita Webb. Today we look at how deeply Chronic Pain affects the family and friends of the patient.
I share how difficult it was for me to listen to the depth of a strangers’ Chronic Pain struggle. After 15 years of chronic pain, I am still finding out how evasive pain can be. Chronic pain humbles you, changes you, and touches everything that you care about and experience in life.
In this episode, I share how putting myself in someone else’s “Pain shoes” helped me understand how completely life-changing Chronic Pain is. This is a reminder that anyone you see can be dealing with a battle that you know nothing about. I hope that if you are struggling with anything that causes you pain, that you will seek help. Your life is too important not to get the help that you need.

Race the Ongoing Divider in America part 3 conclusion
Wednesday Aug 26, 2020
Wednesday Aug 26, 2020
Thank you for joining us for part 3, the conclusion of Race in America, the Ongoing Divide. This was a challenging subject, and I am thankful that we got through all the segments.
In the conclusion, we tie up loose ends in some of my experiences while living on the Eastside. We discuss the racism that repeated in my children's lives 20 years after my issues in the High School.
I must say that recalling the trauma that racism caused me, my children, and my parents were mentally exhausting. I hoped that we had learned to live cohesively by the time my children reached the school system.
My hope for sharing is to enlighten everyone on how racism hurts, effects each generation, and the dangers that hate breeds. There were no questions submitted, so this segment is concluded. If any come in, our team will answer them in a bonus segment.
Our next segment is less controversial and full of thoughtful moments. Thank you for listening, and we hope that you are enlightened, encouraged, and empowered to live your best life.

Race the Ongoing Divider in America Part 2
Wednesday Aug 26, 2020
Wednesday Aug 26, 2020
Thank you for joining us for a few minutes of inspiration with C. Melita Webb. Today we pick up in the second part of our open look at my life experiences with race and being dismissed by some who didn't see the full value of my life. It is interesting to note that as I spoke and reflected, my heart still feels some of the hurt and pain that the negativity infused into my life.
I shared my first experience with racism when I had to wait down the block while a classmate retrieved an item from her home. The newspaper articles that reported on hate groups and burning crosses in our area. In this segment, I relay how as I got older, the types of race issues changed and in ways put my health in jeopardy.
I recall the experience of visiting a local high school. Initially the segment, I said two other students of color, but I think it was four in total, one of which might have been biracial. Furthermore, I included the day-to-day slights that often go unnoticed.
These are just some of the experiences colored by race while I lived in three different areas on the east side, including Juanita in Kirkland, Lake Hills in Bellevue, and Lake Sammamish in Redmond.
Stay tuned for the conclusion of part three Race the Ongoing Divider in America

Saturday Aug 15, 2020
Hello, and thank you for joining us for another episode of inspiration with C. Melita Webb. In today’s episode, we discussed the necessity of caring for ourselves as we care for the ones we love. I offer numerous suggestions on ways to prevent burnout and increase your ability to care for yourself while you are graciously caring for others.
It is a blessing and a fantastic opportunity to be able to care for those in our family and friends circle. However, we occasionally give so much of ourselves that we overlook our own needs. We can all be healthier if we start with a balanced approach to caregiving. I hope you enjoy my thoughts and can find comfort in implementing them into your daily routine.

Wednesday Aug 12, 2020
Wednesday Aug 12, 2020
Hello, and thank you for joining us for another enlightening episode of inspiration with C. Melita Webb. In today’s episode, we discussed the hot issue of the COVID virus and the need to wear a mask in public.
We know that social distancing is making a difference in reducing the spread and death rate. I give you my personal opinion as someone who fights asthma, breathing issues, and also as a mother.
I examine the risks people are taking with their children and themselves. My thoughts are that we must be unified and use good judgment. The smart choice is to always error on the side of caution.
